| Q:I slept with my best friend's boyfriend and I am afraid to lose her friendship. Should I tell her?
Dr. Drew: I'm afraid this is one of those situations where you must acknowledge the consequences of your actions. In this case, the price of your action may be the loss of a friendship. Most likely, she will be greatly hurt by the news. Telling her alerts her to the reality of the relationship so that she may evaluate how to move forward. One of the most important features of becoming a mature individual is recognizing the consequences of one's actions and making good choices based on that knowledge. Face the consequences on this one and in the future make better choices.
