| You think he might be the man that you want to spend the rest of your life with. Everything is going great but it's time to make the decision. Ask yourself these questions and then decide if you are going to keep him around or kick him to the curb. Think carefully though because once you've passed this point, there's no going back...
- Can you wake up next to this boy everyday for the rest of your life? He snores and he steals all the covers, but he is cute...
- Do your friends like him? They will have to deal with him on a daily basis. So, unless you are planning on getting a whole new group of friends, it's best if everyone is friendly. And yes, catching your best friend in bed with him is too friendly. That's a sign it's time for both of them to go.
- Does he make you happy? Does the sight of him or the sound of his voice make you nervous with excitement? Make sure you do have feelings for this boy and that you are not "settling" just so you can say you have a boyfriend.
- Are you guys on the same page? If his idea of a 5-year plan is to back pack across Europe for awhile and then see what happens, and you have every intention of making partner by age 30, then you may want to reevaluate things.
So if he meets all your criteria, then he's a keeper and you can move forward and expect a ring in the near future. Otherwise, it's time to move on.
